Having just recently posted an entry on how to include your pets in your Will (handling the care of your pets after your death), I thought some may be interested to know that the 2015-2016 Minnesota Legislature is currently looking at a proposal for new legislation on creating Trusts for the care of your pets. If this passes, Minnesotans may have another option for their pets which would include setting up a Trust with funds to care for their pets. Here’s the entry on current options in Minnesota, posted on legallymade.com a few weeks ago:
